Maintain Account Health Status

This article is intended for InsuraGuest customers who want to know how to keep their Account Health in good standing. If your Account Health is Excellent or Good, congratulations. It means you are managing your properties well. If you Account Health is in Fair or Poor status, you can manage your account back to Good or Excellent by understanding how Account Health works.

What is Account Health?

Every InsuraGuest account has an Account Health Status. It is an indicator of how well you are managing your InsuraGuest subscriptions, properties, and coverage. At any given moment, your account will be in one of five different modes or statuses.

  1. Excellent
  2. Good
  3. Normal
  4. Fair
  5. Poor

Excellent & Good

If your account health is Good or Excellent, it means you are managing your properties and subscriptions well.

Screen Shot 2023-06-13 at 2.45.57 PMWhen your Account Health Status is in good standing, you receive priority service levels. One example of a priority service level is faster claims payouts. When your account is in Excellent or Good status, we pay out claims faster so you can receive your payout sooner.

Fair & Poor

If your account health is Fair or Poor, it means there is room for improvement with which you manage your properties, claims, and coverage. It means we are reviewing your account for potential violations of our policies, procedures, terms & conditions.

Here are a few factors we take into consideration when setting your account health to Fair or Poor:

  • Loss ratio too high: too many guest injury, property damage, or theft claims
  • Fraudulent or Miscategorized Claims: misuse or abuse of InsuraGuest coverage
  • Retroactive Claims:  claims made for injury, damage, or theft that occurred before the subscription date
  • Wear and Tear Claims: claims made for normal wear and tear of property rather than property damage as a result of a guest stay
  • Violation of our policies, procedures, terms & conditions

Screen Shot 2023-06-13 at 3.01.30 PM-1When your Account Health Status is in Fair status, you will receive a lower service level. Claims payouts will be slower because our claims department will review your claims more closely for potential violations of our policies.

If your Account Health Status is Poor, it means we have paused one or more of the benefits you receive under your subscription and are more closely monitoring your claims activity. Your account is under review for possible suspension until your Account Health Status improves.

Benefits

InsuraGuest offers significant benefits with each subscription plan at the most affordable rates in the industry. One way we can keep our rates so low is to offer the best benefits possible for the lowest price possible. Here are the major benefits of your InsuraGuest subscription and coverage.

  1. $60/mo Subscription
    • Accidental Medical Benefit: Up to $10,000 coverage for guest injuries per incident.
    • Property Damage Benefit: Up to $10,000 coverage for property damage caused by a guest during a stay.
    • Theft Benefit: Up to $2,500 coverage for items that turn up missing when a guest stays at your vacation rental property.
    • Guest Fee Benefit: You can receive a nightly fee for every guest stay using your property management system and InsuraGuest for additional return on your investment.

  2. $90/mo Subscription
    • Accidental Medical Benefit: Up to $25,000 coverage for guest injuries per incident.
    • Property Damage Benefit: Up to $25,000 coverage for property damage caused by a guest during a stay.
    • Theft Benefit: Up to $2,500 coverage for items that turn up missing when a guest stays at your vacation rental property.
    • Guest Fee Benefit: You can receive a nightly fee for every guest stay using your property management system and InsuraGuest for additional return on your investment.

If your Account Health is Poor and you are seeing the message below on your account dashboard, it means that we have paused one or more of the benefits you receive with your InsuraGuest subscription.

For example, if we detect a potential violation of our policies, procedures, or terms and conditions related to the Property Damage Benefit, we will Pause your ability to file future claims until the issue is addressed and resolved.

However, not to worry. If you are seeing this message and your Account Health is Poor, you will still continue to receive the other benefits of InsuraGuest coverage as long as your subscription remains active. For example, if your Property Damage Benefit is paused, you are still receiving the Accidental Medical Benefit, Theft Benefit, and Guest Fee Benefit.

The good news is there are things you can do to correct your Account Health Status and get it back into Excellent status.

How to Improve Your Account Health Status

There are a few different steps you can take to get your Account Health back into Excellent status.

  1. Continue with your InsuraGuest subscription. Eventually, if you keep your subscription active and continue receiving benefits of InsuraGuest coverage, your account health should improve as you manage your property better. When you have fewer claims due to better property management for example, your account health should improve over time.
  2. Make sure you are charging a proper nightly fee for InsuraGuest. Guests don't like paying the traditional security deposit. In our experience, most guests prefer to pay a modest nightly InsuraGuest fee and know they're covered in case something goes wrong. This is a major benefit that is only available through InsuraGuest. You can improve your return on investment with your vacation rental property, and at the same time, provide the peace of mind to you and your guests of knowing you're covered while capitalizing on increased revenues.
